Wales

Wales sits to the west of the mainland of the United Kingdom, across the Irish Sea from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Traditionally south Wales was home to the country’s coal mining, steel and other heavy industries; linking its natural resources with ready access to global markets through its coastal ports. The country’s capital city, Cardiff, is now a major cultural, sporting and commercial centre; with traditional industries being replaced by vibrant new industries. The Welsh factory outlet centre is in Bridgend, providing ready access to all the south coast towns and cities.
