FoxTown Outlet, located in the town of Mendrisio, in Switzerland is right on the border with Italy, next to the stunning lake Como. FoxTown is the second largest shopping center in the area, after the Serravalle, and it consists of 2 three-storey buildings linked to each other, with a total of 160 stores. Apart from the abundance of choice of stores, including high end fashion brands, as well as sports wear and shoes, another feature that attracts thousands of visitors to this shopping mall is that the winter and summer sales start here 2 weeks before they do in Italy.

Apart from well-known Italian brands, such as Gucci, Valentino, Fendi and more, FoxTown has shops such as Escada, Burberry and others, all located in this large shopping mall. There are more than 30 brands of shops for children, as well as shops offering apparel of plus sizes. The prices are set in Swiss Franks, but the stores accept payments in Euros and major credit cards. There is a Tax Free service offered by the Global Blue, located right next to the Casino Admiral in one of the buildings of the outlet.

Once the shopping part is complete or simply for a break from it, visitors can choose from a variety of restaurants that are open every day, depending on their preferences – there is FoxGrill, FoxGrill Pizza & Pollo, Chalet Suisse, FoxCaffe, and a Snack-Bar offering light bites to-go. For those who want fun around the region, the Mega Casino Admiral is just 5 minutes away from Como where tourists and shoppers can play roulettes and slots. And for those who want some sightseeing tours around the area, the Factory Store has its tourist information center.

 
Access : Foxtown is about 15km away from Lugano, and 50kms from the Milan/Mendrisio exit. If travelling from Milan, take the A9 highway towards Lake Como and after crossing the border with Switzerland, head down the A2 highway to Lugano and look out for the exit to Mendrisio. For those travelling from Varese, take the S 233 that goes to Malnate, cross the Swiss border and head towards Stabio, take the exit to Mendrisio. A return ticket from Milan to Mendrisio and back costs 20€
