On the holiday island of Mallorca approximately 12km north east of the capital Palma de Mallorca, Festival Park Mallorca is a popular leisure and shopping destination with good road and public transport links (the railway station is a good walk away). Free parking also makes the shops more accessible than many in the city centre.
Compared to other European outlet centres, Festival Park Mallorca is relatively small with around thirty stores offering a range of Spanish and international brands, mostly stylish fashion. There are also homeware and home electronics stores and, as you would expect on a sunny holiday island, a Quiksilver store with a wide range of surfing clothing and accessories. Look out for Super Thursday bargains every last Thursday of the month.
Unlike some outlet malls that offer just an odd coffee shop, Festival Park Mallorca has sixteen restaurants and food outlets. From Haagen Dazs and Yougurteria de Danone through McDonald’s and the American Grill to the Akropolis Greek restaurant, the Festival Park caters for all tastes and ages. There are also several fun activities available including the Chiqufestival kids play area, Cinesa cinema complex and Xtrem Kart electronic karting track. If your kids love water, it might be best to take a change of clothes (or get the shopping done early) as the fountain area is irresistible to youngsters.
